Open House Creative Fest Recap!

Open House Creative Fest Recap!

Kadi House

This past weekend, I had the joy of participating as a vendor at Open House Creative Fest.  I set up a booth filled with my cloudy tie dye and joyful Jewish goodies, and set up a mini tie dye activity for participants!

Over the course of the weekend, hundreds of people stopped by to create tie dye dish towels with me. Some came with friends, some with family and some on their own. By the end of each activity session, people were chatting, laughing, sharing stories and cheering each other on!

As I looked around the full tables, I was reminded that creativity brings people together. In a world where so much of our time is spent on screens, there is something so incredibly special about making something with your hands. Tie dye invites us to slow down, experience and embrace imperfection!!

Throughout the weekend, I watched kids proudly show off their creations and adults reconnect with their inner child. This event was so special and I wish I had the opportunity to participate and check out all of the other artists crafts. Time and time again, people told me how nice it felt to have the opportunity to sit down and make something.

This is exactly why I started Crafted by Kadi playshops! My dream is to create more opportunities for people to unplug, create and connect, whether that's at a birthday party, community event, family celebration, baby shower, or in a corporate team building space!

If we met this weekend at Open House Creative Fest, thank you for swinging by! It was such a joy to create alongside you. And if you are new here, welcome!!! I am Kadi, a maker, educator, summer camp counselor at heart. I believe that some of life's best moments happen when people gather around a craft table and try something new!

I hope to create with you again soon!

With lots of gratitude and color,

Kadi
